I come to beseech thee to put forth a most noble event — one wherein folk who seek adventure, the honing of craft, or delight may tempt fortune, prove their prowess, or simply partake in the joys of rest and fellowship and be drawn to thy revels with the merry strains of music and cheer!
Shouldst thou possess such a merry happening, let not thy plans remain hidden in shadow. Send them unto me, and I shall bear them on wings of word to the furthest fires of the encampment. Let adventurers, bards, and wanderers near or afar be drawn by the call — whether in pursuit of glory, craft, or joyous revelry amid harp and horn beneath the stars.

WHAT IS IT!? - Like Iron Chef, but with mixology. 3 teams of 3-5 mixologists each strive to make the best cocktails possible using the mystery ingredients provided while the 10 minute timer clicks down to zero! Their creations will then be judged by 3 fabulous celebrity judges! There will be three rounds, one for each mystery ingredient!
This is not meant to be taken seriously. I’m going to give y’all some weird ingredients and hope the result is delightful chaos rather than stale perfection.
WHEN IS IT!? - Saturday after dinner!
WHAT TO BRING!? - If you have your own mixology set up for your team or want to loan us some ingredients for the bar. All teams will get a shaker, strainer, and bar spoon. (I’m bringing the basics, and not much else) feel free!

Title of happening: High Desert Museum and Newberry Volcanic Monument
Brief description of happening: A fun excursion from camp, we’re gonna go off-site to the local museum and the lava rock and obsidian fields.
The High Desert Museum boasts a lot of sweet exhibits and actual wildlife to marvel at! They have otters! In the desert!
The Newberry Volcanic Monument is a beautiful hike around some seismically and geologically active lava flows.
Both locations will need a car or ride to attend and will cost admission ($24 at the museum, $5 at the monument).
We will be very loose on meetup times as to encourage more people to attend and move at their own pace.
