CFT 2020: AWOO Online Announcement 5.13.2020
Campfire Tails regrets to announce that due to the continuing pandemic, we are cancelling our in-person CFT camping event for 2020, and will now transition to a free online format on August 1-2nd, 2020.
We are motivated by care for the safety and health of all campers and the future of Campfire Tails. Our decision was informed by many sources and logistical considerations, including Governor Kate Brown’s announcement that large groups will not be able to congregate until well after our scheduled event date.
We take seriously the possibility that a misstep this year could harm the health and safety of campers, as well as CFT as a viable yearly event. In our free online format for 2020, campers are encouraged to camp on a more individual level if they can, but to also connect online to stay involved and interact with each other’s CFT experiences.
In the coming days, we’ll be sharing the “CFT 2020: AWOO Online” packet which will offer more details and continue to be updated to include more information as we draw closer to our free online event.
We know that announcements like this are never easy, and we thank you for your understanding. We can’t wait to see you all online!
